And, if the legends are true, one of its most haunted… This fall, join us for “Spooky Snug Harbor,” a series of nighttime walking tours aimed at shedding light on Snug Harbor’s darkest history. Guided by local history enthusiast Michael Pelczar, founder of Spooky Staten Island, your tour group will hear never-before-published information. Visitors will also have the opportunity to use ghost-hunting equipment during each tour session. Can we make contact with the other side? You will visit the final resting place of Captain Robert Randall, whose wealth willed Snug Harbor into existence. You'll learn about the 19th century disaster that rattled the harbor's buildings... and the unlikely reason its sole survivor escaped.
