Perfect for first-time visitors, this accessible introduction takes you on a leisurely ride to hear about notable residents, including Auguste Renouard, the “Father of modern day embalming”; industrialist William Colgate, whose legacy extends far beyond soap; scientist John Draper, a pioneer in photography and chemistry; and more. The tour also highlights other influential individuals who contributed to the city’s cultural, scientific, and civic life. This tour series is funded by Simons Foundation International and administered by the Simons Foundation's Science, Society & Culture division. Before Purchasing A Ticket, Please Note: Tickets: There is no need to print tickets! Attendees will be checked in by name. Where To Go: Check-in takes place at the trolley by the Gothic Arch near the Main Entrance at Fifth Avenue and 25th Street (500 25th Street). Accessibility & Safety: The Green-Wood trolley can accommodate up to two wheelchairs. However, the trolley may make stops where passengers are encouraged to disembark in areas that are not wheelchair accessible.
