, As the veil grows thin and the gates close to the public, step into a side of Green-Wood few ever experience: after dark. Wander past monuments and mausoleums illuminated against the night sky while your guide brings to life the tales of some of our most fascinating permanent residents. The night ends with rare access inside the Catacombs, a space rarely opened to the public. While we love the spirit of the Halloween season, Green-Wood remains an active cemetery. Out of respect for the grounds, masks and costumes are not permitted and guests wearing them will not be admitted on the tour. Refunds are only permissible if the tour is canceled by Green-Wood. Tickets cannot be exchanged for a different tour date. Walking tour routes cover hilly, grassy, and uneven terrain which may be difficult to navigate. This tour is not ADA compliant and is not recommended for children under the age of 10. There is no place to sit down during the tour. We strongly encourage attendees to wear suitable footwear. This tour takes place in the dark. Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring a flashlight. Unless there is a medical emergency, it may be difficult to exit quickly during the tour. Please consider these limitations before purchasing tickets. Attendees must follow all instructions and guidance from Cemetery staff and volunteers. Feeling sick? Stay home if you are feeling sick or running a fever.
