Labor Day Weekend in Parks

The Labor Day holiday recognizes and honors the American labor movement and the contributions of laborers in the United States (although Labor Day is celebrated in other countries including Canada and Singapore, as well as International Workers Day in May). We recognize the hardworking Parks staff that doing the often invisible work of keeping our parks clean, safe, and a wonderful place to be: from picking up trash to raking leaves to hosting day camps for kids. Our efforts as volunteers go hand in hand with these efforts. Come say thank you to the Inwood Hill Park staff for all that they do! Please bring water, long-sleeved clothing that can get dirty, and sturdy, comfortable shoes. All other supplies will be provided. Children under 13 are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
