Do you feel like you need a moment of pause and a deeper connection with nature? Join us on the first Saturday of each month for a free nature journaling workshop. The 90-minute workshop helps you start or expand your nature journaling practice, providing you with ecological context, thematic prompts and time to journal. August’s theme, “Rove the Cove” invites you to closely observe where land meets the East River. Explore and learn about the coastal intertidal zone as you reflect on themes of convergence, adaptability and endurance. Register Now! This series is intended for adults, but all are welcome. Materials are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, but we encourage you to bring your own materials and journals if you have them. This event is first come, first serve, with 20 total spots available. Advance registration encouraged but not required. Accessibility Note: Please reach out to education@bbp.nyc for any accessibility needs or questions. This workshop takes place on Pier 4 beach where the terrain is sandy and rocky. There is no shaded areas available, expect full sun. Stepstools and cushions are provided for seating and there are also nearby rock steps. Closest bathrooms are at the boathouse around 460ft from the beach.
