Planning an Event in Your Garden

Participants will learn:• How to identify the best type of event for their garden and community• How to create a realistic event plan from start to finish• Event planning basics, including timelines, logistics, and volunteer coordination• Ways to make events accessible and welcoming• Outreach and digital marketing strategies to increase participation• The different types of support available through GreenThumb• GreenThumb staff support and available resources, including for eligible SEED gardens.• How to take advantage of citywide opportunities such as GreenThumb's Earth Month and Garden Day celebrationsParticipants will receive planning tools, templates, and resources to help turn their ideas into successful garden programs.Recommended for: New and experienced GreenThumb gardeners, garden leaders, and volunteers interested in hosting community events and educational programs.NYC Parks GreenThumb hosts this event.
